Belgian composer Joseph Jongen (1873–1953) represents a distinguished voice in early twentieth-century European music, blending French Impressionist color with classical discipline. Educated at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, Jongen drew stylistic inspiration from César Franck, Gabriel Fauré, and Claude Debussy. His piano works prioritize elegance, contrapuntal clarity, and expressive nuance over overt late-Romantic virtuosity. Characterized by flowing melodies, transparent textures, and flexible phrasing, Jongen’s compositions reflect a profound understanding of the instrument's poetic capacities. Through sophisticated harmonies and refined dynamic control, his keyboard repertoire delivers an enduring balance of lyrical warmth, structural poise, and atmospheric charm.
Italian pianist and musicologist Riccardo Mussato (born 1998) is recognized for his interdisciplinary approach to performance and scholarship. Having earned advanced degrees with high honors from the Conservatoire of Turin and the Conservatoire Royal of Bruxelles, he is currently completing a Master’s degree in Musicology at the University of Bologna. Mussato maintains an active international career focused on lecture-recitals that bridge musical interpretation with the humanities. His artistic and research interests center primarily on French repertoire, para-religious works, 20th- and 21st-century Italian music, Mozartian opera, and Wagnerian drama, reflecting a deep commitment to narrative depth and historical context.
