At just 15 years old, violinist Himari makes history as the youngest female artist signed to Decca Classics with her debut album release. Recorded live alongside the Berlin Philharmonic, the album marks the orchestra's youngest violin debut since Yehudi Menuhin in 1929. Moving beyond standard repertoire to showcase her artistic individuality, the album features Henryk Wieniawski’s rarely recorded Violin Concerto No. 1, alongside works by Chopin, Sibelius, and Godowsky. Launched for pre-sale on her 15th birthday, this release follows a debut EP that garnered over 10 million streams in Japan, establishing Himari as a compelling new voice in classical music.

HIMARI, born in Japan in 2011, is widely regarded as a once-in-a-generation violin talent, recognized for her exceptional technique and emotionally rich interpretations. She began studying violin at age three and, by six, was already performing with professional orchestras. In 2022, she became the youngest student admitted to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies under renowned violinist and teacher Ida Kavafian. HIMARI has earned top prizes at major international competitions and has appeared with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, she signed an exclusive contract with Decca Classics and released her debut EP, HIMARI.
