Aïda Lahlou, pianist from Casablanca, began at age 5 and won her first international competition three years later. Trained in Morocco and later at the Yehudi Menuhin School, she graduated with top honors from Cambridge and earned a Distinction in Piano Performance at the Guildhall School. She has performed widely across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including Wigmore Hall, BOZAR, and with the Orchestre Symphonique Royal as its youngest soloist. Recipient of over 20 awards, she has worked with leading musicians and taken part in major masterclasses. Beyond performance, she is active in teaching, environmental activism, opera stage direction, and interdisciplinary artistic projects.
Aïda’s debut album offers a fresh interpretation of Ravel’s Miroirs, placing it alongside rarely heard piano miniatures from around the world. The programme weaves luminous textures and rhythmic vitality into a narrative exploring nature, spirituality, memory, and self-discovery, marking a striking artistic statement from an emerging voice in classical piano.
