Renowned Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth has captivated audiences across all six continents with her soulful, lyrical tone and deeply collaborative musicianship. Celebrated for expanding and championing the trumpet repertoire, she continues to earn high critical acclaim worldwide. Her latest album, Echoes – Trumpet Concertos by Arutiunian, Penderecki and Weinberg, features Helseth performing with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Petr Popelka, highlighting her artistry and commitment to bringing powerful, expressive trumpet works to global audiences.

Born in Oslo in 1987, Norwegian trumpet soloist Tine Thing Helseth began playing at age seven and studied at the Barratt Due Institute of Music under Heidi Johanessen and Arnulf Naur Nilsen. She has performed with major orchestras worldwide, including the Philharmonia, NDR Elbphilharmonie, Warsaw, Oslo, and Royal Stockholm Philharmonics, and regularly tours with her acclaimed all-female brass ensemble tenThing. A prolific recording artist for LAWO, her recent albums include She Composes Like a Man (2024) and Seraph (2022). Artistic Director of the Risør Chamber Music Festival since 2023, Helseth is also a BBC and Echo Klassik award-winner, broadcaster, and educator at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
